Meet Lovestruck Interiors – preloved and reloved home products.
These fantastic reproduction wooden boxes are hand-crafted from off cuts of solid pine and have a beautiful vintage finish including iron straps on the handles and the fishmonger printed on the box – reloving at its best! Great for pots of herbs, kitchen utensils, cutlery, loo rolls, you name it… their infinite uses also mean they make a great gift for just about anyone.
It is refreshing and unique to have something completely individual in your home that reflects your own personality and style. All the company’s products are hand made or individually sourced by them and are often one offs so there is a constantly changing array of fabulous little gems that provide some great finishing touches to the home.
Meet Amy, the driving force behind Lovestruck Interiors…
‘Based in South West London, I have been hunting out forgotten and unloved furniture for some time now, sanding it, painting it, giving it a new lease of life. I do sell the occasional project but I am usually commissioned to update an existing piece of furniture or asked to advise on, source and revamp something specific.’
‘Items I have found and reloved for people include dressers, sideboards, bedside tables, lamps, chests of drawers, kitchen and dining tables, chairs, chests, children’s pieces and coffee tables to name a few but I am always keen on new challenges. Whether you decide to go for the French vintage, ‘shabby chic’ look, something smart and elegant or even something completely retro and wild, I am happy to advise on colours and styles and guarantee exquisite attention to detail throughout. I have courses under my belt in wood furniture painting, interior design and upholstery in order to help me perfect my skills and enabling me to give a holistic approach to my work.’
‘Please do bear in mind that many of these preloved treasures I am bringing back to life do still show signs of their previous lives, and the paint finishes I often use only add to this character – I believe this is what makes them unique and special but if this is not something that appeals, please do get in touch so we can discuss your exact requirements.’
‘The paints I use are generally chalk based which is not only good for the environment as it is low in VOCs (aka nasty chemicals), but it gives a wonderful matt finish. Techniques I specialise in are distressed paintwork, decoupage and wallpapering furniture, crackling, stencilling and gilding. All items are finished with a protective natural wax.’
